Playa del Inglés sits on the southern coast of Gran Canaria, between Maspalomas and San Agustín. It’s one of the island’s liveliest destinations, with a wide choice of hotels, apartments, shopping areas and entertainment. While it attracts a younger crowd in summer, its huge beach and excellent facilities also make it popular with families and couples.
Playa del Inglés has almost 3 kilometers of pale sand, stretching to around 8 kilometers when linked with Maspalomas and San Agustín. Watersports are based near the Anexo Shopping Centre, and a long seafront promenade runs alongside the beach, lined with bars and shops.
The resort has a buzzing atmosphere year-round. The Kasbah Centre is well known for nightlife, while the Yumbo Centrum is the heart of the island’s LGBTQ+ scene. Playa del Inglés and nearby Maspalomas host two major events each year: Maspalomas Carnival, usually held between February and March, and Maspalomas Pride, typically in May, both featuring colourful parades, floats and open-air celebrations.
