Rimouski is a Canadian city in the province of Quebec located in the regional county municipality of Rimouski-Neigette in the administrative region of Bas-Saint-Laurent. It is located approximately 325 km northeast of Quebec City. It groups around 47,000 inhabitants (a quarter of them, students), on the southern shore of the St. Lawrence estuary, and offers several tourist attractions. With its new entertainment hall and the expansion of the industrial district, which is home to numerous department stores, the vocation of Rimouski as a city of services is confirmed.
