Fascinating Iceland

Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure on a flight to Reykjavik. Arrival on transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure for Hvalfjordur, known as the Whale Fjord, heading towards Borgarnes and the Grabrók volcano. Stop to visit the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Continue north to Eyjafjordu/Akureyri. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Drive to Godafoss waterfall. Continue to the Lake Mývatn region. Visit Dimmubordir, a real labyrinth of lava, sulphates and the Námaskard fumaroles. Next, the Krafla area to see the lava fields of Leirhnjukur and the great crater of Viti, known for having a green lake inside. Stop at the Mývatn natural baths for a relaxing swim. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure towards Jökulsárgljúfur National Park. The journey continues to one of the island's most arid areas: Europe's most abundant waterfall, Dettifoss, with a flow of over 300m3 per second, falling 44m. Continue to the East Fjords. Dinner and accommodation. 

Breakfast. Drive to Höfn along a road bordered by majestic fjords and passing through small typical villages. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure to visit the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, with its huge icebergs at the foot of the Vatnajokull glacier. Boat trip around the lagoon. Continue through the Kirjubajarklaustur lava desert to Vik. Visit to Skogarfoss and Seljalandfoss waterfalls until you reach Hella. Accommodation.

Breakfast. Departure for the Golden Circle, visiting the Gulfoss waterfall, the Geysir area and Thingvellir National Park. Drive to Reyjkavik and a panoramic tour of the city. Accommodation.

Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport to board the flight back to Portugal. Arrival.
