DAY 1 – PORTUGAL / ATHENS

Transfer to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.


DAY 2 – ATHENS

Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour of the Neoclassical center of Athens, the Parliament, the University, the National Library and Academy, the Ilion Palace, and the Panathenaeum stadium, all dotted with ancient ruins, such as Hadrian's Arch, or the Temple of Zeus. After the panoramic tour, visit the Acropolis, the mountain south of Athens crowned by the classical city of the gods. You will see the Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Erechtheion and learn about the cradle of Western civilization. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.


DAY 3 – ATHENS

Breakfast. Day at leisure to discover and explore the cosmopolitan city and cultural center of Athens. Through its streets full of history, characters, battles, defeats and victories, you can follow the course of Antiquity to the present day. Syntagma Square is another mandatory stop, here is the Greek Parliament, try not to miss the changing of the guard every odd hour, guarding the tomb of the Anonymous Soldier. On one side is the pedestrian street of Ermou, the shopping area of the city where you can also find popular restaurants where you can enjoy Greek cuisine. Another place in the city near the Acropolis, is the romantic neighborhood of Plaka, adorned by typical Greek houses, souvenir stores and small terraces where you can make a pleasant stop. DAY 4 – ATHENS / CORINTH / EPIDAURUS / MYCENAE / MYCENAE / OLYMPIA

Breakfast. Departure to the Corinth Canal, a magnificent work of engineering. Stop to admire the views. Continuation to Epidaurus, and visit of its theater of perfect acoustics, with a natural backdrop of incomparable beauty. Part of the sanctuary is dedicated to Aesculapius, god of medicine. Passing to the outskirts of the city of Nafplion, arrive at Mycenae where you will visit the famous Homeric city, and visit the ruins of the capital of the kingdom of Agamemnon, with the Gate of the Lions and the royal tombs. In the afternoon, crossing the central Peloponnese reach Olympia. Dinner and accommodation.


DAY 5 – OLYMPIA / DELPHOS

Breakfast. Visit the facilities of the ancient Olympic state, where the first Olympic Games were held. Then visit the impressive Museum of Olympia, which preserves key works of art history. In the afternoon departure to the magnificent bridge that crosses the Corinthian Bay. Dinner and accommodation.


DAY 6 – DELPHOS / METEORA

Breakfast. Visit the archaeological site of Delphi, whose sanctuary of Apollo was one of the most important pilgrimage destinations of antiquity, at the foot of Parnassus. In the local museum you will see its famous statue “The Bronze Charioteer. Departure to Kalambaka, in central Greece, passing by Thermopylae, where the statue of the Spartan King Leonidas is located. The landscape will surprise you with its fields dotted with charming villages. Dinner and accommodation.


DAY 7 – METEORA / ATHENS

Breakfast. Start with a visit to Meteora, a sort of stone forest, a World Heritage Site, with towering limestone columns on which stand several monasteries founded between the 10th-12th centuries, whose communities of monks are still active and inhabiting these inaccessible retreats. Afterwards, departure to Athens, where you will arrive in the afternoon. Accommodation.


DAY 8 – ATHENS / PORTUGAL

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
