Day 1 Lisbon / Chicago

Arrive at the airport at least 3 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure on flight to Chicago. Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel.


Day 2 Chicago / Springfield (Illinois) (330 km)

In the morning, pick-up of the motorhome. Official start of Route 66. Visit mythical places like Joliet, the Gemini Giant in Wilmington or the Pontiac museum. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 3 Springfield / St. Louis (Missouri) (160 km)

Departure to St. Louis, crossing the Mississippi. Stop at the historic Chain of Rocks Bridge. In St. Louis you can visit the famous Gateway Arch and take a walk through the Soulard district. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 4 St. Louis / Cuba / Springfield (Missouri) (360 km)

Today you cross the Ozarks. Mandatory stop in Cuba, known for its murals, or at Meramec Caverns. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 5 Springfield / Tulsa (290 km)

Cross into Oklahoma, stopping in towns like Carthage (with the 66 Drive-In cinema) or Claremore. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 6 Tulsa / Oklahoma City (170 km)

Quiet route with stops like Arcadia (Round Barn and POPS, a gas station with hundreds of sodas). Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 7 Oklahoma City / Amarillo (420 km)

Long but unforgettable route. You can stop in Clinton to visit the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum. Upon arriving in Amarillo, don't miss the Cadillac Ranch. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 8 Amarillo / Tucumcari / Santa Rosa / Albuquerque (460 km)

Continue through Texas and enter New Mexico. Tucumcari is famous for its neon signs and Santa Rosa has a great automobile museum. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 9 Albuquerque

Explore the historic center, the Sandia Peak tramway or enjoy the local cuisine. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 10 Albuquerque / Gallup (220 km)

Short stretch with stops in soulful towns like Grants or the Continental Divide. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 11 Gallup / Petrified Forest / Holbrook / Winslow (250 km)

Cross into Arizona. Visit the Petrified Forest National Park, pass through Holbrook and take a photo at the famous Standin' on the Corner crossing in Winslow. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 12 Winslow / Flagstaff / Williams (170 km)

Have breakfast in Flagstaff, a city with a mountain atmosphere. In the afternoon, continue to Williams, where you can take the train to the Grand Canyon (optional). Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 13 Williams / Seligman / Kingman / Oatman / Needles (320 km)

This stretch is pure Route 66 flavor: Seligman, birthplace of the Route's revival, Kingman and the mountain road to Oatman (mining town with loose donkeys). Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 14 Needles / Barstow / Victorville / Santa Monica (390 km)

Last big day on the road. Pass through Amboy (and its volcanic crater), Barstow and end in Santa Monica, where Route 66 ends facing the Pacific Ocean. Accommodation in campsite (not included).


Day 15 Santa Monica / Los Angeles

Return of the motorhome in the morning. Self-transfer to the Los Angeles hotel. Accommodation.


Day 16 Los Angeles / Lisbon

Transfer to the airport and boarding on flight to Lisbon. Arrival.
