With luck, you'll spot humpback whales, orcas and bald eagles. Meanwhile, the ship offers various activities, from lectures about local wildlife to shows and live entertainment. Day 3 Ketchikan

Breakfast. Thanks to abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some of the most lush rainforests in the world. Its Tlingit Indian name, Kach Kanna, means "spread wings of an eagle." You're likely to see one of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree during your Alaska cruise to Ketchikan (Ward Cove). Accommodation on board.

Day 4 Juneau

Breakfast. Juneau is known as "Alaska's most intense experience" due in part, and certainly, to its incomparable glacier views from places like Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau ice fields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak through one of the numerous protected channels, take a panoramic aerial excursion, take a historical tour through downtown or try your luck panning for gold. The majestic Mendenhall Glacier is 12 miles away from Juneau, a journey worth taking. Accommodation on board.

Day 5 Skagway

Breakfast. In just one year, from 1896 to 1897, this remote place along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a town of 20,000 gold miners. Today, travelers come in search of other treasures: reliving the past along Skagway's charming promenade lined with buildings that reproduce those from the gold rush era. Accommodation on board.

Day 6 Icy Strait Point

Breakfast. Venture to adventure "where the north wind doesn't blow." Known for this famous saying, Icy Strait Point is the ideal place for adventurers seeking a new experience. Imposing and exciting, Icy Strait Point truly takes you to a place where there is wilderness. It's one of the few places in the world where wildlife outnumbers the human population. A trip to this place will undoubtedly satisfy your taste for adventure. Travel on a cruise from Icy Strait Point and enjoy the inspiring landscapes of Alaska and the many excursion options offered by Norwegian Cruise Line. Accommodation on board.

Day 7 Hubbard Glacier

Breakfast. Hubbard Glacier is the largest tidewater glacier in North America. Its imposing turquoise surface rises almost 400 feet high, of which 250 feet are underwater, while its icebergs are usually three or four stories tall. Contemplating this immense glacial mass, nearly six miles wide at the point where the ice meets the ocean and 76 miles long, is an experience you will hardly forget. While sailing near the glacier, keep an eye out for the great variety of wildlife in the region, from bald eagles to harbor seals, orcas and humpback whales. Accommodation on board.

Day 8 Whittier

Breakfast. Despite being located approximately only 60 miles from Anchorage, Whittier seems to be a world away. This small and remote village, which can only be accessed by land through the two-mile-long Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, is situated between towering mountain peaks and the Passage Canal. Originally founded as a military installation during World War II, today, Whittier is the gateway to the famous Prince William Sound. The spectacular rugged coastlines and waterways harbor abundant wildlife, including bears, mountain goats, Dall sheep, whales, sea lions, otters and much more. Release your inner explorer in one of the numerous outdoor activities or enjoy excursions with panoramic boat views over a part of the gulf. Transfer to Anchorage airport.
