DAY 1 – MADRID / KITTILÄ / PYHÄ
Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours early. Boarding formalities and departure by flight to Kittilä. Lunch on board with drinks included. Arrival and transfer by bus to Pyhä. Welcome to Lapland and the world of endless snow! Your accommodation for the next few nights is located in the modern ski resort of Pyhä-Luosto National Park, which covers an area of 145km2. Before checking in, stop by the safari office to obtain the necessary thermal equipment. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant and accommodation.
DAY 2 – PYHÄ – SNOWMOBILE SAFARI, ICE KARTING/SNOWMOBILE KARTING
Breakfast. Transfer on foot to the office to collect the equipment needed for the safari. The guide will explain the instructions for use and safety rules. The adults will share the snowmobile, while the children will be transported on the sled driven by the guide. Stop at a log cabin to enjoy a light lunch of hot soup by the fire and listen to stories about culture and everyday life in Lapland. Continue through the beautiful Lapland landscape until you reach the karting circuit, where children will drive mini snowmobiles, while adults (over 150 cm tall) will race karts. Return by snowmobile to the safari office and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 3 – PYHÄ – ICE FISHING SAFARI AND VISIT TO AN AMETHYST MINE
Breakfast. In the morning, the bus will take you to a frozen lake or river in the middle of the wilderness. Shrouded in silence, get ready to start fishing by making a hole in the ice with a rod. With a bit of luck, you might catch a perch or a pike. For many Finns, ice fishing is not just a way of finding food, but much more. After the activity, transfer to a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to the outskirts of Luosto (22 km) for a visit to an amethyst mine, unique in Europe, located at the top of the Lampivvara hill. To access it, you use a “pendolino”, a machine similar to those used in ski resorts to prepare the slopes, which pulls a caterpillar cart. In the hut near the mine, the guide will tell you stories about the geology and use of this precious stone. You'll be able to extract your own lucky amethyst stone! Return by bus to the hotel. Free afternoon for skiing in the resort. Your guide will inform you of the timetable, as ski equipment and a 3-hour ski pass in the Alpine resort are included. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and accommodation.
DAY 4 – PYHÄ – HUSKY SLED DOG SAFARI, REINDEER SLEDDING AND MEETING WITH SANTA CLAUS
Breakfast. Departure by bus to an authentic reindeer farm. The reindeer herder will have carefully selected a group of trained reindeer for a 30-minute ride. There will be time to feed them and take photos with them. After the tour, lunch at a local restaurant. Then transfer to a husky farm. Before the tour begins, you will receive an explanation about huskies and their behavior. Return to the hotel by coach. In the afternoon, the moment adults and children have been waiting for will arrive: meeting Santa Claus! The bus will take you to his secret hideaway in the middle of the forest for a private meeting. You'll be able to talk to this friendly character and even have your picture taken with him. Santa will give each child a present. While the meeting takes place in the hut, there will be different winter activities for the whole family. Return to the hotel. Dinner in the hotel restaurant. Accommodation.
DAY 5 – PYHÄ / KITTILÄ / MADRID
Breakfast. Return of thermal equipment. At the agreed time, departure by bus to Kittilä. Lunch at leisure. Transfer to Rovaniemi airport. Dinner on board with drinks included. Arrival and end of the trip.
