DAY 1 – CHRISTCHURCH
Arrival, transfer to the deposit point and collection of the caravan.
DAY 2 – CHRISTCHURCH / DUNEDIN
(370km) Departure for the Otago Peninsula and its main city, Dunedin.
DAY 3 – DUNEDIN / QUEENSTOWN
(285km) After a stay in the capital of ecotourism, continue to the capital of extreme sports and adventure.
DAY 4 – QUEENSTOWN
Free day in which we recommend a visit to the Milford Sound fjord.
DAY 5 – QUEENSTOWN / FOX GLACIER
(332km) Arrival at the 13km-long maritime glacier, located in Westland National Park and close to the village of the same name.
DAY 6 – FOX GLACIER / GREYMOUTH
(247km) On this day, you can explore one of the most important Maori settlements on the west coast of the South Island, Greymouth.
DAY 7 – GREYMOUTH / NELSON
(297km) Continue north to the town of Nelson.
DAY 8 – NELSON
Free day in which we recommend a visit to Abel Tasman National Park.
DAY 9 – NELSON / PICTON / WELLINGTON
(129km) Board the inter-island ferry to the North Island. Arrival in the country's capital.
DAY 10 – WELLINGTON / NAPIER
(325km) Continue to the port city of Napier, in the Hawke's Bay region.
DAY 11 – NAPIER / ROTORUA
(235km) Arrive in Rotorua, known as the “sulphur city”, a Maori spa and cultural center.
DAY 12 – ROTORUA / COROMANDEL
(250km) On the way, we recommend a visit to the Waitomo caves or Hobbiton.
DAY 13 – COROMANDEL / AUCKLAND
(180km) Arrive in the country's largest and most cosmopolitan city, Auckland. Situated around two major ports, it is the most important city in the North Island. In the center of Queen Street, don't miss the iconic Sky Tower viewpoint overlooking Viaduct Harbour, lined with yachts and sailboats and surrounded by bars and cafés.
DAY 14 – AUCKLAND / PORTUGAL
At a time to be arranged locally, return the rental car and transfer to the airport to board the return flight. Night on board.
REMARKS:
- With the “standard” rate, the excess in the event of an accident is NZ$7,500, which will be blocked on your credit card, refundable when the vehicle is returned safely.
- With the optional “all-inclusive” rate, starting at 39 euros per day, the excess in the event of an accident is 0 New Zealand dollars. It also includes an additional driver, picnic table and chairs, baby/child seat, change of bed linen, portable heater and snow chains.
- If you pick up the vehicle in one city and return it in another, a direct payment fee is charged at the destination (please check with us).
- A road user charge of NZ$7.64 per 100km is payable at the destination, subject to government changes.
- An international driving license is required and must be presented with your original driving license.
- The main driver must hold a contract and present an international credit card.
- Collection or return of vehicles on public holidays is subject to an additional charge payable on arrival.
- The caravan depot is open from 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (collection and return no later than 4.00 p.m.).
