DAY 1 – PORTUGAL / TALLINN
Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure by flight to Tallinn. Arrival and collection of the rental car at the airport. Accommodation.
DAY 2 – TALLINN
Known as the “Forgotten Pearl of the Baltic”. We recommend a visit to Town Hall Square and the churches of St. Olaf and St. Nicholas. On Toompea Hill there is a large concentration of historical monuments: the Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Lutheran Toomkirik Cathedral from 1233; the Estonian Parliament, housed in Toompea Castle; and the Kiek-in-de-Kök, a tower-museum built in 1475. In the afternoon, we recommend a visit to Kadriorg Park and the Valley of Songs, an amphitheater built along the Baltic coast, from where you can enjoy magnificent views of the sea. Accommodation.
DAY 3 – TALLINN / PÄRNU / RIGA
Start your journey towards Pärnu. Pärnu is known as the “summer capital” of Estonia due to its lively summer season, thanks to the many visitors attracted by its sandy beaches and beautiful surrounding forests. The city has 750 years of history and a Hanseatic past. Continue by road along the Baltic coast. Arrival in Riga. Accommodation.
DAY 4 – RIGA
Situated on the banks of the Daugava River, we recommend a visit to the Arsenal Tower, the National Theatre, the turn-of-the-century Art Noveau buildings, the Freedom Monument, the Opera House, the University of Riga and the numerous bridges over the Daugava River. In the afternoon, we recommend a visit to Kemeri National Park. Return to Riga. Accommodation.
DAY 5 – RIGA / SIGULDA / RIGA
Departure for the Gauja National Park, which stretches for around 100km along the Gauja River valley and is situated between villages and towns with flavor and history. In the afternoon, visit Turaida Castle, Gutmain Cave and Sigulda Castle. Return to Riga. Accommodation.
DAY 6 – RIGA / VILNIUS
Continue south to the capital of Lithuania. Visit the Rundale Palace, built in the 18th century by Bartolomeo Rastrelli, architect of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. It is the residence of the Dukes of Curland. Its enormous halls are well worth a visit, as are its gardens in the purest Versailles style. After crossing the border, arrive at the Hill of Crosses, one of Lithuania's iconic images, which allows you to discover the historical strength of Catholicism in the country. Continue to Vilnius via Kaunas. Accommodation.
DAY 7 – VILNIUS
Visit the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Cathedral Square, the Church of St. Anne and St. Bernard, the Gate of Dawn, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University, founded in 1579. In the afternoon, drive to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, to visit its castle, situated on a small island in Lake Galve. Return to Vilnius. Accommodation.
DAY 8 – VILNIUS / PORTUGAL
Return the rental car to the airport. Board return flight. Arrival.
