DAY 1 - NAPLES (HALF BOARD)
Transfer to the hotel. Before dinner, meet with the tour guide. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 2 - NAPLES / CAPRI / NAPLES (HALF BOARD)
Breakfast. Boat departure to the island of Capri, a wonderful expression of nature, history, and glamour. Visit to Villa San Michele. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the Gardens of Augustus, where you can admire the famous Faraglioni and Marina Piccola. Free time for shopping, meet with the group at the dock. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3 - NAPLES / SORRENTO / POMPEII / NAPLES (FULL BOARD)
Breakfast. Departure for Sorrento for a city tour. Continue to Gragnano, the birthplace of pasta, where we'll enjoy a multisensory and multimedia visit to an important pasta factory. Lunch with tasting of three types of pasta. In the afternoon, departure for Pompeii to visit the excavations that brought back the remains of the ancient cities buried under ashes during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 4 - NAPLES / PALERMO (FULL BOARD)
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour by bus with a stop at Piazza del Plebiscito. Visit to the historic center of Naples where you can admire the church of Santa Chiara and its cloister, the Cathedral of San Gennaro, the craft shops of San Gregorio Armeno, and the historical-monumental areas surrounding the city. Lunch during the excursion and pizza tasting. Then, guided walk along Via Toledo, admiring the Galleria Umberto I, Piazza Plebiscito, the exterior of Teatro San Carlo, the Royal Palace, the medieval castle of the Anjou family, and Piazza del Municipio. Departure for the port of Naples to board and sail to Palermo, Sicily. Dinner on board. Overnight on board.
DAY 5 - PALERMO / ERICE / MARSALA / SELINUNTE / AGRIGENTO (FULL BOARD)
Breakfast on board. Arrival in Palermo, disembarkation, and transfer. Departure for Erice for a visit with a small tasting of typical almond sweets (Note: if it's not possible to reach Erice due to road closures, the visit to Trapani will be substituted). Continue to Marsala and visit a winery with a small wine tasting. Lunch during the excursion and, in the afternoon, visit the eastern hill of Selinunte. Departure for the Agrigento area. After dinner at the hotel, bus departure to enjoy the view of the illuminated Valley of the Temples. Accommodation in Agrigento.
DAY 6 - AGRIGENTO / PIAZZA ARMERINA / AGRIGENTO / EASTERN SICILY (FULL BOARD)
Breakfast and visit to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, the best-preserved complex of Greek temples in the world. Then, departure for Piazza Armerina, themed lunch, and visit to the Roman Villa called "Del Casale," a luxurious dwelling in the heart of Sicily, an important example from the Roman period, where you can admire the precious mosaics representing the uses and customs of the time. Continue to the hotel. Arrival, dinner, and accommodation.
DAY 7 - EASTERN SICILY / ETNA / TAORMINA / EASTERN SICILY (FULL BOARD)
Breakfast. If weather conditions allow, departure for Mount Etna, the highest and still active volcano in Europe (3,345 meters). You will reach a maximum altitude of 1,900 meters** and, optionally (not included), it will be possible to climb in an all-terrain bus with an authorized guide to visit the main craters. Small tasting of local honey and lunch during the excursion (**in case of bad weather conditions, the climb will only be to an altitude of 700 meters with a stop in Zafferana Etnea where you can see the remains of the 1992 eruption). In the afternoon, visit Taormina and its Ancient Theatre. Free time. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 8 - CATANIA / PORTUGAL
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport. Boarding formalities and departure. Arrival in Portugal.
