NORTHERN FJORDS AND ÅLESUND

DAY 1 – OSLO
Arrival and transfer on your own to the hotel. Recommended to use Flytoget Airport Express from Oslo Gardemoen Airport which will drop you off in the center of Oslo in approximately 20 minutes. Accommodation.
DAY 2 – OSLO / HALLINGDAL VALLEY
Breakfast. City tour with a local guide. With almost a thousand years of history, the city has witnessed many important events, from Viking legends, Edvard Munch's paintings, Gustav Vigeland's creations and more than 100 Nobel Peace Prize winners. Visit the town hall, the exterior of Akershus Fortress, the Royal Palace, Karl Johan Street and the cathedral. A few kilometers outside the city is Frogner Park, which houses a permanent exhibition of sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. In the afternoon, drive through the Hallingdal valley to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3 – HALLINGDAL VALLEY / FLÅM / SOGNEFJORD / BERGEN
Breakfast. This day is spent in the middle of one of the most beautiful landscapes in the whole country, the Sognefjord or the Sleeping Fjord. Arrival in the village of Flåm, on the banks of the fjord, is the starting point for the “Great Sognefjord Tour”, which includes sailing on the Aurlandfjord and the Nærøyfjord, the latter a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the famous Flåm Railway, which climbs a total of 865 meters from the fjord to the mountain station of Myrdal, winding through breathtaking scenery. The train connects with the regional line to the village of Voss or Geilo. At the end of the tour, continuation to Bergen. Accommodation.
DAY 4 – BERGEN / REGION OF THE FJORDS
Breakfast. Walking tour of the city with a local guide. Visit the pier and the Hanseatic quarter, the fishermen's market and St. Mary's Church. Time at leisure. In the afternoon, departure for the hotel in the Norwegian Fjords region. On the way, cross the Sognefjord in one of its widest parts, from Oppedal to Lavik. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
DAY 5 – REGION OF THE FJORDS / GEIRANGERFJORD / ÅLESUND
Breakfast. Visit to the Bøyabreen glacier, another branch of the enormous Jostedal glacier, the largest in continental Europe. Continuation of the route through the picturesque villages of Olden and Loen. Optional excursion to the Loen funicular, which climbs over 1000 meters to the top of Mount Hoven, with spectacular views of the fjord and its mountains. Afterwards, continue to the idyllic village of Geiranger, where there will be some time at leisure before enjoying a cruise on the fjord, where you will be able to see some of the famous waterfalls, such as the Seven Sisters, the Pretender and the Bride's Veil, as well as incredible scenery. In the afternoon, continue along the Eagle Road to Eidsdal and then on to the town of Ålesund. Accommodation.
DAY 6 – ÅLESUND / TROLLSTIGEN / GUDBRANDSDALEN
Breakfast. Time at leisure in the morning to discover the historic city center. Ålesund is the birthplace of Art Nouveau in Norway and the influence of this artistic and cultural movement is reflected in many of the facades of the central buildings. Mid-morning departure for Åndalsnes. Lunch en route. In the afternoon, the opportunity to drive along one of Norway's most unique roads, with eleven 180-degree bends and a unique view: the “Troll Route” (Trollstigen). After taking some photos, continue to the town of Otta, crossing the Romsdal valley, one of Norway's most picturesque valleys. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
DAY 7 – GUDBRANDSDALEN / LILLEHAMMER / OSLO
Breakfast. This day, head south through the Grudbrand Valley. You can enjoy the landscapes that have inspired so many artists, such as the great Henrik Ibsen in his play Peer Gynt. Around midday, stop in the town of Lillehammer to visit the Maihaugen open-air museum, the largest in Norway, which houses more than 200 traditional buildings from the different regions of Norway. In the afternoon, continue to Oslo. Accommodation.
DAY 8 – OSLO
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. We recommend using Flytoget Airport Express from downtown to Oslo Gardemoen airport.
