DAY 1 – PORTUGAL / AMMAN
Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure on a flight to Amman. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner (for flights arriving before 8pm) and accommodation.
DAY 2 – AMMAN / MADABA / MONTE NEBO / PETRA
Breakfast. Departure for Madaba, better known as the City of Mosaics, located just 30km from the Jordanian capital. Visit to the Church of St. George, where the oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land was found, dating from 571 AD. Next, a visit to Mount Nebo, an extremely important site for all Christians, as it was the last place visited by Moses and from where the prophet could see the Promised Land that he would never visit. Continuation to Petra. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3 – PETRA
Breakfast. Departure for the Pink City, capital of the Nabateans. Visit the most important and representative monuments carved into the rocks by the Nabateans. The tomb of the Obelisks, the Siq, a 1km-long gorge where at the end of its course you will discover the impressive and well-known Treasury (Al Khazneh), the street of columns, the colorful tombs and the royal tombs, the “El Deir” monastery. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 4 – PETRA / PETRA PEQUENA / WADI RUM
Breakfast. Departure for the Wadi Rum desert, with a stop before arriving in Petra. Wadi Rum is also known as “the valley of the moon”. After a two-hour drive, visit the area in 4x4 vehicles driven by experienced Bedouins who know the area very well. It will take two hours to appreciate the beautiful natural landscape that characterizes this desert, its reddish sands and impetuous golden mountains. After the visit, transfer to the camp for dinner. Accommodation.
DAY 5 – WADI RUM / AQABA
Breakfast. Time at leisure. At a time to be arranged locally, departure for Aqaba. Arrival and afternoon at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 6 AND 7 – AQABA
Breakfast. Day at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 8 – AQABA / AMMAN
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to Aqaba airport to board the flight to Amman. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
DAY 9 – AMMAN / DEAD SEA / AMMAN
Breakfast. Departure for the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth below sea level, where you can enjoy a swim. Return to Amman. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 10 – AMMAN / JERASH / AJLOUN / AMMAN
Breakfast. Departure for a panoramic tour of the city of Amman, including its avenues, the Citadel, the city center and the Roman theater. Continue to Jerash, one of the cities of the Decapolis. During the tour, visit the triumphal arch, the oval square, the Cardo, the colonnade, the temple of Aphrodite and the Roman theater. Then off to Ajloun Castle, a Crusader fortress perched on the top of the mountain with a beautiful view. Return to the hotel in Amman. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 11 – AMMAN / PORTUGAL
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport to board the return flight. Arrival.
