AEOLIAN ISLANDS: LAND, SEA AND FIRE

Day 1 Catania / Lipari
Arrival in Catania before 4pm. Transfer to the port and ferry to the island. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 Lipari / Salina / Lipari
Breakfast. Departure by boat to Salina, with the possibility of swimming in the crystal clear waters near the pumice stone quarries. Then, sailing along the coast of the island and stop at Polara Bay, the setting for famous films such as “The Postman and Pablo Neruda". Tour of the island's interior. Crossing the Valdichiesa pass, Monte delle Felci (Mount of Ferns) and Monte Porri, both immersed in dense vegetation, vineyards, and caper fields, until reaching the municipality of Malfa to visit the Museum of Aeolian Emigration. Arrival in Santa Marina Salina, with a stop in the town of Lingua, a coastal village bathed by the famous salt lake that inspired the island's name. Tasting of “pane cunzato” (seasoned bread) and Aeolian granita. In the afternoon, return by boat to Lipari, famous for its cliffs. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 3 Lipari / Vulcano / Lipari
Breakfast. Departure by boat to the island of Vulcano, admiring the bays and coastline of the island, with special attention to the “Horse's Grotto” and the “Pool of Venus". Possibility of swimming. Then, bus tour of the interior of the island and stop to taste typical Aeolian products, such as capers, honey, cheeses, and a glass of wine. Time to dive into the sulfurous waters of Levante Bay or take a dip at the famous black sand beach. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 4 Lipari / Panarea / Stromboli / Lipari
Breakfast. Departure by boat to Panarea, tour of the town center to admire the typical houses and pedestrian streets lined with stone walls and flowers. In the afternoon, embarkation and departure for Stromboli, sailing along the islets of Panarea. Arrival at the port of Stromboli, disembarkation and tour of the town center and free time to enjoy its bars and places offering aperitifs on panoramic terraces. At dusk, embark and sail towards the “Sciara del fuoco” (path of fire), passing by the islet of Strombolicchio, where the boat will stop so that we can admire the explosive activity of the Stromboli volcano from the sea. Day 5 Lipari
Breakfast. In the morning, walking tour through the streets of the historic center of Lipari and visit with a local guide to the archaeological park and the cathedral. For those who wish, it is possible to visit the Bernabò Brea Archaeological Museum. Then, bus tour to admire the interior of the island with panoramic stops. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 6 Lipari / Alicudi / Filicudi / Lipari
Breakfast. Departure by boat to Alicudi, the wildest island, also known as the island of Erica. Visit to the small fishing village and free time. In the afternoon, continuation to Filicudi, “the island of ferns,” passing by the Farallones de Canna, Montenassari, and the Buey Marino Cave. Arrival at the port and time at leisure. Day 7 Lipari
Breakfast. Day at leisure with the possibility of booking optional activities, such as a hike with a specialized guide, renting a boat with a captain to visit the most beautiful beaches accessible only by sea, purchasing admission to a spa, or spending a relaxing day at one of the island's beach resorts. Day 8 Lipari / Catania
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the port to board the ferry to the mainland. Transfer to the airport.
