Day 1 Portugal / Reykjavik

Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure by flight to Reykjavik. Arrival and collection of rental car. Accommodation.

Day 2 Reykjavik / Borgarfjörður Area

Head north through the toll tunnel that crosses the Hvalfjördur fjord.Visit Deildartunguhver, Europe's largest hot spring, and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls in Reykholt. Return to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 3 Borgarfjörður Area / Snæfellsnes Peninsula / Borgarfjörður Area

Visit the picturesque fishing village of Arnastapi and the black sand beach of Djupalonssandur on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Enjoy views of the Snæfell volcano and the famous Kirkjufell. Return to Reykholt and accommodation.

Day 4 Borgarfjörður Area / Húsavík or Lake Mývatn

Stop at the Grábrok crater and continue to the Skagafördur region, known for its horses. Visit the peat church of Vidimýri and the town of Akureyri. Then continue to Husavik or Myvatn, passing Godafoss waterfall. Accommodation.

Day 5 Húsavík or Lake Mývatn

We recommend the optional whale-watching excursion (not included). In the afternoon, explore the Lake Mývatn area and enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot springs of the Mývatn Natural Baths. Accommodation.

Day 6 Húsavík or Lake Mývatn / Egilsstadir

Visit the Jokulsargljufur nature park and the Detifoss waterfall. Continue to the Hverarön geothermal area and arrive at the East Fjords. Accommodation.

Day 7 Egilsstadir / Seydisfjördur / Vatnajökull Area / Kirkjubæjarklaustur Area

Visit the picturesque village of Seydisfjördur and continue to Höfn, passing the glacial lake of Jökulsárlón and the Svartifoss waterfall. Accommodation.

Day 8 Kirkjubæjarklaustur / Selfoss Area

Explore Skaftafell National Park and visit the Skógafoss and Seljalandfoss waterfalls. Accommodation.

Day 9 Selfoss Area / Reykjavik

Visit the Gullfoss waterfall, the Geysir fumaroles and Thingvellir National Park. Arrival in Reykjavik and accommodation.

Day 10 Reykjavik
