New Year in Egypt

Day 1 Madrid / Luxor

Direct flight to Luxor. Arrival, visa procedure and transfer to the cruise. Time at leisure to begin discovering Egypt, a fun country with friendly people and tasty cuisine, while also enriching due to its impressive historical and cultural heritage. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 Luxor / Valley of the Kings / Hatshepsut Temple / Colossi / Karnak / Luxor / Esna

Breakfast. Departure for the Valley of the Kings where 62 pharaohs are buried, on the west bank of the Nile. Continuation to the temple of Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari, one of the most special and beautiful funerary monuments in the country, recognizable by its characteristic ramp staircase. Passing by the Colossi of Memnon on the way back. Visit to Luxor temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II in the 18th century BC. The temple was connected with the Karnak temple by the famous avenue of sphinxes. Visit to Karnak with its impressive columns, obelisks and statues. Lunch on board. Afternoon of navigation. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3 Esna / Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan

Breakfast. Upon arrival in Edfu, visit to the unique temple built by Ptolemy III in 235 BC. Its conservation and its facade in the form of a solid embankment stand out. It is dedicated to Horus, the Falcon god. Return to the boat. Lunch and navigation to Kom Ombo. Visit to the symmetrical double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and to Horus the Elder. Navigation to Aswan. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 Aswan

Breakfast. Optionally (not included), you can visit the temples of Abu Simbel by road or plane. Visits in Aswan, with the Philae temple and a wonderful felucca ride. Time at leisure to enjoy the market and the city. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5 Aswan / Cairo

Breakfast. Disembarkation. Continuation of Aswan visits. Optionally (not included), visit to the Nubian villages, visiting some temples and settlements on the shores of Lake Nasser. Time at leisure. Transfer to the airport for flight to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 6 Cairo / Giza / Cairo

Breakfast. Departure for Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Visit to the complex of the mythical pyramids and the Sphinx, the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world that we can see today. Return to the hotel and afternoon at leisure. Optionally (not included), after finishing the visit to Giza, lunch and visit to the step pyramid of Zoser in Sakkara and the necropolis of Memphis. Accommodation.

Day 7 Cairo

Breakfast. Day at leisure in Cairo. Optionally (not included), full day visit to Cairo and the Egyptian Museum, with lunch. Accommodation.

Day 8 Cairo / Madrid

Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to the airport for return flight. Arrival and end of the trip.
