Day 1 Tromsø
Arrival and, not included, optional transfer to the hotel by regular Flybussen service or private transfer. Located at 69 degrees north, the city of Tromsø is 320km north of the Arctic Circle. Many visitors are surprised when they discover that this city has hotels with international standards, lively cafes, world-class seafood restaurants, an active cultural life, an exciting nightlife, captivating museums and art galleries. Day 2 Tromsø / Polar Park / Svolvær
Breakfast. Departure for Bardu to visit the Polar Park. Here you can admire the largest predators of the Arctic region: the lynx, the gray wolf and the wolverine, but also more docile animals such as the moose, the reindeer and the arctic fox. After the visit, free time for lunch (not included). Continue the route towards the Lofoten Islands. According to a ranking published by the English magazine "The Observer," the Lofoten Islands occupy second place among the most beautiful islands in the world. In winter, the climate changes rapidly and these sudden changes give rise to splendid light effects that, for decades, have inspired many artists attracted to this region. Arrival in Svolvær, the "capital of Lofoten" which, with about 4600 inhabitants, is the most populated city in the archipelago. Accommodation.
Day 3 Svolvær
Breakfast. Continue discovering the Lofoten Islands, dominated by imposing snow-capped peaks that are reflected in the sea. Separated from the mainland by the Vestfjord, these islands form a 150km long chain formed by smaller islets and small bays where you can admire picturesque fishing villages whose main economic source is cod fishing, which is then dried in the open air to create Stockfish, exported in large quantities also to Portugal and Spain. But the Lofoten are also rich in history, culture and folklore. The visit to the old fishing villages is a moment of continuous discovery from a historical-cultural point of view. Visit to the Lofotr Viking Museum, located at an archaeological site discovered in 1983, near Borg. Here a typical Viking settlement has been reconstructed, where you can learn more about the history, culture and traditions of these legendary peoples. After dinner (not included), an exciting search for the Northern Lights with the specialized guide awaits you. With a clear sky and some luck, you can admire the spectacle of the Northern Lights dancing above you. Accommodation.
Day 4 Svolvær / Sortland / Harstad
Breakfast. Continue between snow-covered mountains, bridges and small villages, until reaching Sortland. Free time for lunch (not included). Here an authentic Lapland experience awaits you. Visit to a reindeer farm, where you can learn about the culture of the Sami people, listen to their traditional songs sitting around a bonfire inside a Lavvo (typical Sami tent). Continue the journey enjoying the views of this region, to Harstad. Accommodation.
Day 5 Harstad / Tromsø
Breakfast. Depending on the departure time of the ferry to Tromsø, free time in Harstad (possible schedules: 07h00 or 16h15. In case of departure at 07h00, breakfast will be picnic-style). Arrival in Tromsø and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, possibility of taking optional excursions. Accommodation.
Day 6 Tromsø
Breakfast. Free time. Optional transfer to the airport by regular "Flybussen" service or private transfer (not included).
