NAPLES AND THE AMALFI COAST
Indicative itinerary subject to changes until departure date
Day 1 Naples
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Before dinner, meeting with the tour guide. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the circuit. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2 Naples / Sorrento / Pompeii / Naples
Breakfast. Departure for Sorrento for a city tour. Then, departure for Pompeii with a stop in Gragnano, for a visit to an important pasta factory, where you will enjoy a lunch/tasting. In the afternoon, visit to the excavations that returned the remains of the ancient city of Pompeii, buried under ashes during the eruption of 79 AD. Return to Naples. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3 Naples
Breakfast. Visit to the historic center of Naples where you can admire the Church of Santa Chiara and its cloister, the Cathedral of San Gennaro, the artisan shops of San Gregorio Armeno and the historic-monumental areas surrounding the locality. Lunch. Then, visit to the Sansevero Chapel, which houses sculptural masterpieces such as the famous Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino. Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 Naples / Salerno
Breakfast. Panoramic bus tour through the "Spanish Quarter," admiring the colorful graffiti that decorate the walls. Lunch at a pizzeria. After lunch, guided walk along Via Toledo admiring the Galleria Umberto I, Piazza del Plebiscito, the exteriors of the San Carlo Theatre, the Royal Palace, the "Maschio Angioino" Castle and Piazza del Municipio. Departure for the Salerno area. Arrival, dinner and accommodation.
Day 5 Salerno / Amalfi / Salerno
Breakfast. Departure for Amalfi, a coastal city famous for its impressive landscapes and its magnificent cathedral. City tour and lunch. Departure for Salerno, gateway to the Amalfi coast, and walk through the historic center. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 Salerno / Paestum / Salerno
Breakfast. Departure for Paestum. Visit to the production areas of "Mozzarella di Bufala Campana" with tasting. Then, visit to the archaeological excavations of Paestum. Lunch. In the afternoon, return to Salerno. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 Salerno / Caserta / Naples
Breakfast. Departure for Caserta, for a visit to the majestic Royal Palace and the Vanviteliano Park. Continue to Naples and lunch. Free afternoon. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 8 Naples
Breakfast. At a time to be arranged locally, transfer to Naples airport.
*Day 5: in case of closure to traffic or other operational reasons related to viability, the visit to Amalfi will be replaced by a visit to Vietri sul Mare, known for its tradition in the production of artistic ceramics.
