Day 1 Palermo
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 Palermo / Monreale / Palermo
Breakfast. In the morning, departure for Monreale and visit to the Benedictine Cloister and the Cathedral. Subsequently, return to the city of Palermo for a short panoramic bus tour. Lunch at the hotel or local restaurant. In the afternoon, walk through the historic center of the Sicilian capital with a visit to its main monuments, and passing in front of the Norman Church of Santa Maria dell'Ammiraglio and entrance to the Church of Santa Caterina. Accommodation.
Day 3 Palermo / Erice / Trapani / Agrigento
Breakfast. Departure for Erice, a medieval village located 750 meters above sea level. Continuation to the western part of Sicily for a visit to the salt pans of Trapani. Lunch at a restaurant. Departure for Agrigento, "The most beautiful city of mortals" where, today, you can still admire ten Doric temples that rise in the valley. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 Agrigento / Piazza Armerina / Ragusa
Breakfast. Departure to visit "la Valle dei Templi". Continuation to Piazza Armerina and visit the splendid Villa Romana del Casale. Lunch at a rustic restaurant in the area. Continuation to Ragusa. Panoramic tour of Ragusa Ibla, the historic center of the city. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 5 Ragusa / Noto / Syracuse / Catania
Breakfast. Departure for Noto, where you can admire the cathedral completely renovated after several years of restoration, as well as walk through the streets full of architectural treasures. Continuation to Syracuse, where, if conditions permit, a mini-cruise will be carried out to admire the beauties of its historic center. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Syracuse: the Temple of Athena, transformed into a Christian cathedral, the legendary Fountain of Arethusa, the Temple of Apollo and the archaeological park with its Greek theater, the Roman amphitheater and the Ear of Dionysius. Continuation to Catania. Accommodation.
Day 6 Catania / Etna / Taormina / Catania
Breakfast. If weather conditions permit, departure for Mount Etna, the highest and still active volcano in Europe (3345 meters). Possibility of climbing by funicular and/or 4x4 jeep up to 2800 meters. Continuation to have lunch at a rural house at the foot of Etna where, in addition to enjoying typical and genuine food, you can taste Etna wine. Continuation to Taormina and free time for shopping, to discover the romantic alleys of the city or to visit the famous Greek Theatre from where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama, both of Etna and the Ionian Sea. Return to Catania, for a panoramic tour. Accommodation.
Day 7 Catania / Messina / Cefalù / Palermo
Breakfast. Departure for Messina for a panoramic tour of the city. Continuation to Cefalù for lunch at a local restaurant. Free time to walk through the narrow alleys full of jewelry stores and elegant shops that preserve all their medieval fascination. Continuation to Palermo. Accommodation.
Day 8 Palermo
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
