Day 1 Los Angeles
Arrival in one of the great cities of the West Coast, gateway to the world of film, the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and some of California’s most iconic landscapes. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
Day 2 Los Angeles
Breakfast. We will begin our tour of Los Angeles, visiting some of its most famous landmarks, including Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. We will continue to Hollywood, where we will explore Hollywood Boulevard, home to the Chinese Theatre and the world-famous Walk of Fame. We will also visit Downtown and the Mexican district before heading to Santa Monica and Venice Beach, two essential locations for experiencing California’s unique Pacific coast atmosphere. Day 3 Los Angeles / Las Vegas
Breakfast. Departure for Las Vegas, crossing the desert landscapes of the American Southwest. Arrival in a city renowned for its unique atmosphere and as the gateway to some of the great national parks of the American West. Free time to start enjoying the city. Accommodation.
Day 4 Las Vegas / Grand Canyon
Breakfast. Departure for the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, considered the most spectacular and most visited section of this impressive national park. During our visit, we will admire some of its most iconic viewpoints and the immensity of a landscape shaped over millions of years by the erosion of the Colorado River. Accommodation.
Day 5 Grand Canyon / Monument Valley / Page
Breakfast. We will continue exploring the Grand Canyon along part of the scenic Desert View Drive, stopping at some of its most outstanding viewpoints before heading to Monument Valley, one of the icons of the American West. Its spectacular rock formations have served as the backdrop for countless films and television productions. Later, we will stop at Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam before arriving in Page. Day 6 Page / Antelope Canyon / Bryce Canyon
Breakfast. Visit to Antelope Canyon, where water and wind erosion have sculpted narrow sandstone passageways illuminated by stunning light effects. We will then continue to Bryce Canyon, famous for its natural amphitheatres and unique rock formations in vibrant shades of red and orange. Accommodation.
Day 7 Bryce Canyon / Valley of Fire / Las Vegas
Breakfast. Departure for Valley of Fire State Park, known for its spectacular red sandstone formations created millions of years ago. We will continue to Las Vegas. Free time to enjoy a city in constant evolution, famous for its themed hotels, shows and a wide range of experiences, from immersive attractions and innovative entertainment venues to breathtaking panoramic views of the Nevada desert. Accommodation.
Day 8 Las Vegas / Death Valley / Mammoth Lakes
Breakfast. We will cross the Nevada desert to enter Death Valley, one of North America’s most distinctive landscapes. During our visit we will see Furnace Creek and the Stovepipe dunes before continuing to Mammoth Lakes, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Accommodation.
Day 9 Mammoth Lakes / Yosemite / Modesto
Breakfast. Entrance to Yosemite National Park, one of California’s greatest natural treasures. During our visit we will discover some of its most iconic sites, including Half Dome, Yosemite Valley, Bridalveil Falls and Yosemite Falls. In the afternoon, we will continue to Modesto through the fertile Central Valley. Accommodation.
Day 10 Modesto / San Francisco
Breakfast. Arrival in San Francisco for a panoramic tour of one of the most emblematic cities on the West Coast. We will visit the Financial District, Union Square and Chinatown before crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, where we will enjoy magnificent views of the bay. The remainder of the day will be free to continue discovering the unique character of a city known for its hills, historic cable cars and vibrant neighbourhoods. Accommodation.
Day 11 San Francisco
Breakfast. Free day to continue exploring San Francisco at our own pace. We may stroll along Fisherman’s Wharf, visit famous neighbourhoods such as North Beach and Chinatown, enjoy views of the bay or take an optional excursion to the legendary island of Alcatraz. Accommodation.
Day 12 San Francisco / Monterey / Carmel / Lompoc
Breakfast. Departure along the Pacific Coast to the Monterey Peninsula, renowned for its spectacular coastal scenery and fishing heritage. We will visit Monterey and continue along the famous 17-Mile Drive, one of California’s most beautiful scenic roads, before reaching Carmel, a charming coastal town known for its galleries, boutiques and pleasant atmosphere. Late in the afternoon, we will continue to Lompoc. Accommodation.
Day 13 Lompoc / Santa Barbara / Los Angeles
Breakfast. Departure for Santa Barbara, an elegant coastal city with a strong Spanish heritage and renowned for its beautifully preserved colonial architecture. After our visit, we will continue to Los Angeles, where we will have free time in Santa Monica and Venice Beach to stroll along the Pacific Ocean and enjoy the atmosphere of two of California’s most famous beachside districts. Accommodation.
Day 14 Los Angeles
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to the airport.
Remarks:
- At some hotels, breakfast may be provided in individual takeaway boxes.
- Day 8: In the event of extreme temperatures, the visit to Death Valley may be replaced by a visit to Calico Ghost Town.
- Day 8: If Tioga Pass is closed during the travel dates, the planned accommodation in Mammoth Lakes will be replaced by Bakersfield.
- Day 11: The optional visit to Alcatraz must be booked in advance due to the high demand for tickets.
