Day 1 - Portugal / Mexico City
Check-in at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Boarding formalities and departure on flight to Mexico City. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 - Mexico City
Breakfast. Departure for a city tour, during which you will visit its most outstanding points: the Constitution Square known as Zócalo, surrounded by beautiful baroque buildings, including the Cathedral, the largest religious monument in the country built on the most outstanding Aztec temple; the National Palace, seat of the presidency of the Republic (entrance not included) and the Templo Mayor, the great temple of the Aztec capital. Continuation to the Museum of Anthropology and visit the Aztec room. Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Accommodation.
Day 3 - Mexico City
Breakfast. Free day. We suggest optionally taking a visit to Teotihuacán and the Basilica of Guadalupe. Teotihuacán comprises three large buildings: the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon and the Citadel, all built on the so-called "Avenue of the Dead". The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe is the largest pilgrimage center in Latin America. Accommodation.
Day 4 - Mexico City / Tuxtla Gutiérrez / San Cristóbal De Las Casas
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for flight to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, capital of the state of Chiapas. Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the pier and boat ride in the Sumidero Canyon. Lunch. Continuation to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Arrival at the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 5 - San Cristóbal De Las Casas
Breakfast. Visit to the local market, one of the most typical in the region where, daily, hundreds of indigenous people sell their products. Continuation to the church of Santo Domingo, of baroque style, founded in 1547. At the end, visit the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan; the first of them is very particular since in the church you can appreciate the influence of paganism in their ceremonies, while the second differs greatly from the previous one because the Zinacanteco indigenous people are very attached to the Catholic faith. You will have the opportunity to make an authentic tortilla and taste a glass of "Pox", an ancient Mayan elixir. Return to the city of San Cristóbal. Accommodation.
Day 6 - San Cristóbal de las Casas / Palenque
Early departure for Palenque, with a stop in Ocosingo for breakfast at a local restaurant. The journey is approximately 5 hours along a mountain road, during which you can admire incredible changes in the lush vegetation of this Chiapas area. Along the way, stop at the Agua Azul waterfalls and free time. Continuation to Palenque. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 7 - Palenque / Campeche
Breakfast. Visit to the archaeological zone of Palenque, located within the Chiapas jungle. The area offers in stone and stucco the beautiful achievements of Mayan art and is often considered one of the most beautiful areas in Mexico. Among all its temples, the most important is the so-called Temple of Inscriptions, where the tomb of Pakal with its famous jade mask was discovered. Continuation to Campeche and lunch en route. Arrival at the hotel and accommodation.
Day 8 - Campeche / Uxmal / Mérida
Breakfast. Departure for Mérida. En route, visit to the archaeological zone of Uxmal. The main buildings of Uxmal are: the Pyramid of the Magician, the Governor's Palace and the Nunnery Quadrangle. Lunch. Continuation to Mérida, also known as 'The White City', where its residences from the colonial era and French, Italian and Arab style from the beginning of the century, testify to the past wealth, born from the cultivation of sisal. Stop at the Zócalo of Mérida where you can admire the main monuments of the city: the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace and the Casa de Montejo. Accommodation.
Day 9 - Mérida / Chichen Itzá / Riviera Maya
Breakfast. Departure for Riviera Maya with a visit en route to the archaeological zone of Chichén Itzá, Mayan capital of Yucatán. You can visit the imposing buildings of the northern and central archaeological zones: the temple of Kukulcán, the ball game, the observatory, the temple of the warriors, the convent of the nuns and the cenote. Lunch. In the afternoon, continuation to Riviera Maya or Cancún with a stop at Cenote Saamal, where you can take a pleasant swim. Accommodation.
Days 10 and 11 - Riviera Maya

Day 12 - Riviera Maya / Portugal
At a time to be arranged locally, transfer (as selected) to the airport for return flight. Night on board.
