Day 1 Portugal / Tallinn
Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Check-in formalities and departure on flight to Tallinn. Arrival and pick up rental car. Accommodation.
Day 2 Tallinn
Dedicate the day to discovering the Estonian capital. A medieval city recognized as the oldest in Northern Europe, its historic center has been included in UNESCO's Cultural Heritage since 1994. We recommend visiting the Town Hall Square and the churches of St. Olaf and St. Nicholas. On Toompea Hill is where you'll find a great concentration of historical monuments: the Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Lutheran Toomkirik from 1233; the Estonian Parliament embedded in Toompea Castle; and the Kiek-in-de-Kök, a tower-museum built in 1475. In the afternoon we recommend visiting Kadriorg Park and the Song Festival Grounds, an amphitheater built along the Baltic coast, from where you can enjoy magnificent sea views. Accommodation.
Day 3 Tallinn / Pärnu / Riga
(310 km) Begin your journey towards Pärnu, known as Estonia's "summer capital" due to the great liveliness that reigns in the city during the summer period, thanks to numerous visitors attracted by its sandy beaches and the beautiful forests that surround it. Continue by road along the Baltic coast to Riga. Accommodation.
Day 4 Riga
Discover the Latvian capital. Located on the banks of the Daugava River, it stands out for the beauty of its historic center whose buildings reflect all architectural styles: Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Art Nouveau, etc. We recommend visiting the Arsenal Tower, the National Theatre, the early century Art Nouveau buildings, the Freedom Monument, the Opera House, the University of Riga and the numerous bridges over the Daugava River. In the afternoon we advise heading to Kemeri National Park, near Jurmala. It has important wetlands, marshes and flooded forests where you can enjoy a pleasant walk. Accommodation.
Day 5 Riga / Sigulda / Riga
(110 km) Departure towards Gauja National Park, Latvia's oldest and most popular park. Created in 1973, it covers about 100 km along the Gauja River valley and sits between villages and towns with flavor and history. We recommend taking a trail route to discover this marvel. In the afternoon visit Turaida Castle, Gutmain's Cave and Sigulda Castle. Return to Riga. Accommodation.
Day 6 Riga / Vilnius
(295 km) Continue south to the Lithuanian capital. Visit Rundale Palace, erected in the 18th century by Bartolomeo Rastrelli, architect of St. Petersburg's Winter Palace. After crossing the border, arrival at the Hill of Crosses, one of Lithuania's iconic images that reveals the historical strength of Catholicism in the country. Continue to Vilnius via Kaunas. Day 7 Vilnius
Visit the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Cathedral Square, the Church of St. Anne and St. Bernard, the Gate of Dawn, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University, founded in 1579. In the afternoon head to Trakai, former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, to visit its castle that rises on a small island in Lake Galve. Return to Vilnius. Accommodation.
