Day 2 Frankfurt / Würzburg / Bamberg / Nuremberg
Breakfast. Departure to Würzburg, ancient episcopal city on the banks of the Main. City tour: the Bishops' Residence where its grand staircase and imperial hall with frescoes by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo stand out; the Falkenhaus, with its Rococo façade; the Gothic chapel of St. Mary; the Market Square, the historic town hall and the Neumünster church. In the afternoon arrival in Bamberg for a walking tour through its medieval streets, to see its cathedral, the old town hall over the Regnitz river and its picturesque neighborhoods. Continue to Nuremberg. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3 Nuremberg / Rothenburg ob der Tauber / Ulm
Breakfast. City tour: although the center was 90% destroyed during World War II, it was rebuilt to enjoy a beautiful city that surprises with its medieval streets, the church of St. Lawrence, the Market Square where you'll find food stalls and typical products, the Church of Our Lady and the Beautiful Fountain. Walk through the Castle, which dominates the city. Lunch. Departure to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, along the so-called Romantic Route, to enjoy medieval corners such as Herrngasse, Marien pharmacy, Market Square, the old hospital, Plönlein and the town hall. Continue to Ulm. Accommodation.
Day 4 Ulm / Stuttgart / Strasbourg
Breakfast. Visit of Ulm, birthplace of Albert Einstein, to see the city's most important tourist sites such as its Gothic Protestant cathedral, famous for having the tallest tower in the world; Cathedral Square, the Marktplatz where you'll find the town hall with its astronomical clock and the Fishermen's Quarter. Departure to Stuttgart, city known for automobile manufacturing (Mercedes and Porsche). Walk through its historic center where Schlossplatz stands out, one of the most beautiful squares in the city, the New Palace, the last great Baroque castle in Germany, the Old Castle, the city's main street, Königstrasse, and the Stuttgart Opera. Continue to Strasbourg. Arrival. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 5 Strasbourg / Riquewihr / Colmar / Strasbourg
Breakfast. Departure to Riquewihr, charming walled village on the so-called Wine Route of the Alsace region. Walk to see the Dolder tower, the Dissler house and the Zimmer house. Continue to Colmar, known as the wine capital of the region. Lunch. Walk through its historic center, interwoven with wooden houses and the neighborhood known as Little Venice. Return to Strasbourg for panoramic bus tour: the Rhine Palace and the monument to victims in Republic Square, the new European Parliament, the Palace of the Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe among other sites. Day 6 Strasbourg / Heidelberg / Mainz
Breakfast. Walking tour of Strasbourg's historic center to explore the Cathedral quarter, the Petite France neighborhood, where we'll appreciate the typical tanners' houses. Lunch. Departure to Heidelberg, lively university city located in the Neckar river valley, to see its impressive medieval castle, the picturesque alleys, the Church of the Holy Spirit, the town hall and the university. Continue to Mainz. Accommodation.
Day 7 Mainz / Rhine / St. Goar / Rüdesheim / Frankfurt
Breakfast. Visit of Mainz, city located on the banks of the Rhine, known for being the place where Gutenberg invented the printing press. Boat ride on the Rhine River to discover its beauties. Lunch. End of the crossing in Rüdesheim, city famous for its vineyards and narrow alleys, with the famous Drosselgasse, where visitors can taste the famous Riesling wines. In the afternoon arrival in Frankfurt, Germany's economic capital, for panoramic tour. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 8 Frankfurt
Breakfast. At time to be arranged locally, transfer to airport.
