Day 1: San José
Arrival at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. Check-in formalities and departure on flight to San José. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: San José / Tortuguero (Full board)
Very early departure to Tortuguero National Park. Breakfast during the journey near Guápiles and continuation to the boarding dock. Two-hour boat ride through the Tortuguero canals, with the opportunity to observe a wide variety of flora and fauna during the journey. Arrival at the lodge and lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the village and beach of Tortuguero. Dinner at the lodge.
Day 3: Tortuguero (Full board)
Breakfast. In the morning, free time to walk along the trails to appreciate the local flora and fauna. Return to the lodge. Lunch. In the afternoon, boat tour through the canals to explore the great diversity of exotic flowers, butterflies, caimans, iguanas, etc. Dinner.
Day 4: Tortuguero / Arenal (Half board)
(180 km) Breakfast. Transfer to the dock and departure by boat to Guápiles. Lunch and car rental pick-up. Drive towards Arenal, where the volcano rises over a landscape of great beauty. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 5: Arenal
Breakfast. Free day. Optional excursions available. We suggest a horseback ride to La Fortuna waterfall or a visit to the hot springs. Accommodation.
Day 6: Arenal / Monteverde
(120 km) Breakfast. Departure towards Monteverde, located in the north central mountain range. Accommodation.
Day 7: Monteverde
Breakfast. Free day. Optional excursions available. We suggest a guided visit to the Monteverde Reserve or a canopy tour and hanging bridges experience. Accommodation.
Day 8: Monteverde / San José
(145 km) Breakfast. Car rental drop-off at San José airport. Check-in formalities and departure. Night on board.
Day 9: Portugal
