Day 1 Portugal / Tromsø
Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. Check-in formalities and departure on flight to Tromsø. Arrival and pick up rental car. Accommodation.
Day 2 Tromsø
Day dedicated to discovering the city of Tromsø, also known as the "Paris of the North" and "City of Lights". This lively city is located beyond the Arctic Circle, in the territory of the "Midnight Sun", visible from mid-May to late July, and kingdom of the northern lights, which with a bit of luck can start to be seen in early October. Day 3 Tromsø / Gryllefjord / Andenes
(150 km) Departure heading north. Crossing the most beautiful and wild landscapes of Norway's Atlantic coast, arrival in Gryllefjord. From here you must board a ferry (not included, less than 2 hours duration) towards Andenes. Important: you must arrive early at the dock as there's no advance booking, since tickets are purchased at the port ticket office. Arrival in Andenes, a town known as the starting point for whale and cetacean watching safaris. Accommodation.
Day 4 Andenes / Harstad
(170 km) Departure heading south through cinematic landscapes until reaching the capital of the Vesterålen archipelago, Harstad. Arrival. Take the opportunity to make first contact with this beautiful archipelago. Accommodation.
Day 5 Harstad
Day dedicated to exploring the Vesterålen islands. Beautiful contrasts between small islets and reefs with some of the country's largest islands. Whales are one of the archipelago's most popular attractions. Accommodation.
Day 6 Harstad / Svolvær
(150 km) Departure towards the Lofoten Islands. Island hopping across bridges until reaching Kabelvåg, where you can visit numerous archaeological remains and the Lofoten Islands museum. Continue the route through mountains, bays and villages until reaching Svolvær. Accommodation.
Day 7 Svolvær
Day dedicated to exploring Lofoten, known for its unparalleled beauty where high mountains plunge into an infinite ocean. Head south to discover the famous typical village of Reine, or the unforgettable stop at Nusfjord. You can also do hiking routes or kayak routes to travel between islands. Accommodation.
Day 8 Svolvær / Narvik
(220 km) Departure from the Lofoten Islands to return to the mainland. To do this, head to the north of the archipelago until reaching Narvik, known for its international port, ski resort and majestic fjords. One of the most influential Norwegian cities beyond the Arctic Circle. Accommodation.
Day 9 Narvik / Polar Park / Tromsø
(235 km) Wake up facing the impressive Ofotfjord in the beautiful port city of Narvik. Head to the neighboring Skjomen fjord, or climb up to the Narvikfjellet panoramic viewpoint where you can admire magnificent views of the Ofotfjord. Leaving Narvik, just an hour away is the "Polar Park", the world's northernmost wildlife park. Specialized in Nordic fauna, you can find brown bears, lynx, wolves, reindeer, arctic foxes, etc. It features a unique experience, the "Wolf Kiss". Continue to Tromsø. Arrival and accommodation.
